Hey mom,
Just checking in. The farmhouse is gone. It was very stressful for Loic to watch. On the morning we started he came by, he said, just for a few minutes. He stayed for the whole ten hours. He couldn't leave. We have been slowed down some by the weather, but I finished the grade yesterday. Since the old house was sand, you just dig a big whole beside it and bury it as you go, pulling out all the wood and burning that. My french is coming, because I work now with people who don't(or won't) speak any english. The best way to learn really. I'm sure you have guessed from my silence that the saddle arrived with no other problems. Due to the weather and several birthdays, the presentation will be this weekend. Everybody is busy. I'm earning my stay though, they have a sick horse that I have to give two shots a day, for a month, and without me they would have to pay a vet to come everyday and do it. They are also just happy I am here because with the old house down, there is no longer a gate. I bicycle to town for bread every morning, and minus the hat, am becoming a proper frenchman. You can't make noise here until ten thity in the morning so I have the time. I mean equipment noise. A fairly reasonable law. You have to stop at seven. Anyway, a day off today, and the first sunshine in a week. Relaxing this morning and then riding this afternoon. I am now riding a friend of his horse as well. I have a car to drive, and everything I have found says this is legal, but maybe ask dad if he knows anything. I'm good in the roundabouts, but have been told I drive to slowly(5kph over posted), just like in the U.S.. They have asked me to stay longer, and Tim and Chris said no problem, then I got an e-mail from Delta saying I was rescheduled for the sixth of June. He just changed it before I could ask. He will change it again if this is a problem. If not, maybe you and dad could come visit? Tim said it was fine as long as I was there by the eighth. Chris said she doesn't care either, and is doing well. This is a really long paragraph huh? Hope all is well there. How's the ankle? I also hope Amelia and the baby are doing well, and Erik is surving these final months. Love to everyone,Karl
